If they ended up saying yes to every prospect they may find themselves working longer hours than when they were an employee. This can lead to you feeling stressed and really affects the enjoyment of running a business.

What Motivated Me

What motivated me to start Bright Horizon Accountancy was the lure of a better work/life balance. Living in Dorset I’m lucky to have the stunning beaches of Bournemouth and Poole on my doorstep and the New Forest down the road. I want the option to go out for a lunch time jog, hop on my road bike or fingers crossed when it warms up a little bit get to grips with my new stand-up paddle board.

What motivated you to start your business?

This is why despite working long hours at the moment I still make time for what I deemed important at the start – so tomorrow morning you might spot me on an early morning ride out to Burley!
